THE CHALLENGE

A modern approach to compliance

To ensure that Compass Group UK & Ireland continues to remain compliant in health and safety as well as providing great customer service, they required training and development that was up to date. As their training was somewhat out dated, both in terms of graphics and content, Compass Group wanted a modern approach that would appeal to their diverse workforce and equip their learners with the tools needed to achieve their high quality standards.

The learning material needed to be accessible to all 60,000 employees working within the UK and Ireland, and the whole suite needed to sit on their existing Totara LMS. The focus was keeping employees engaged and motivated with up-to-date content, whilst making sure the learning material was relevant to their day-to-day jobs.

OUR SOLUTION

Off-the-shelf elearning

EssentialsPlus, our latest off-the-shelf, multi-device elearning suite was a perfect fit, allowing Compass Group UK & Ireland employees access to the learning wherever, and when ever was most suitable for them. EssentialsPlus offers a great user experience irrespective of the device on which it is being accessed: desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile phone.

With 18 courses already available, and more in development, learners can take short courses that provide the key information they need, exactly when they need it. Adapt’s unique guided revision functionality gives learners a tailor-made journey that takes them back only to the content they needed to revise. Ensuring they are fully compliant and confident in their knowledge, without forcing them to trawl through content that they have already shown to have a good understanding of.

All the modules have been accredited by CPD, meaning the courses comply with the standards and benchmarks of CPD to ensure both integrity and quality. The course material has also been endorsed by City & Guilds, ensuring that learners get the very best learning material from leaders in skills development.

THE RESULTS

Fast and always up to date

EssentialsPlus courses are now fully embedded into Compass Group UK and Ireland’s onboarding and apprenticeship programmes. By taking the multi-device approach, learners can complete their mandatory training at their convenience.

The beauty of EssentialsPlus for Compass Group is that they know they have a suite of elearning that is always up-to date, covering the latest legislation and standards. When handling topics such as safeguarding, Health and Safety and food safety, that piece of mind for Compass is immeasurable.

The faultless, modern design of the EssentialsPlus suite has proved so popular that the UK and Ireland team is now using the look and feel as an exemplar template for their own bespoke elearning offerings.
