Making it sustainable

We strive to make sure content can be readily updated by either our team or your team without having to completely redevelop the solution. Our design and production methods focus on content and presentation (media) remaining separate so that minor updates, especially for subjects that often change such as legislation, do not rely on multimedia or programming experts. Also, client organisations and partners can re-use our media in different contexts again and again, bringing a greater return on investment.

As well as authoring software, we are experts in other technologies widely used in e-learning environments. Our management team has played a leading role in the dramatic rise of Moodle including the very first enterprise scale deployment of Moodle in 2004, and innovations such as Moodle Networks, a model for e-learning syndication across multiple platforms.

Mahara e-portfolio

Kineo Pacific is the project leader of the Mahara open source e-portfolio project, and works closely with open source gurus, Catalyst IT, to guide its ongoing development. Mahara is an open source e-portfolio system with the ability to display learning evidence in a number of different ways, depending on the needs of the learner or practitioner. Read more.
